An amazing example of a traditional brick and mortar stereo store. I wish I didn't have to fly home or I would buy something to support this establishment. We need to support businesses like this!

Audio Classics: I Came for the Nerd Communion Walking into Audio Classics should be a little like walking into church for an audio nerd. There are vintage KLHs and Klipsches tucked among enormous McIntosh amplifiers, B&W flagships, and what must be several hundred thousand dollars’ worth of serious audio equipment. For someone who has loved this stuff for decades, there is almost too much to look at. Unfortunately, the enthusiasm in the room didn’t seem to match the equipment. One person did ask if I needed help, so I don’t want to suggest that anyone was rude or that I was ignored. They weren’t, and I wasn’t. But there was no real attempt to engage, no curiosity about what brought me in, and none of the nerdy enthusiasm I expected from a place devoted to high-end and vintage audio. At one point, watching several employees move through the store, the impression that came to me was less High Fidelity and more a gaggle of Herb Tarleks heading into a WKRP executive meeting. What I had hoped for was something entirely different. I’ve owned my Original Large Advents for forty years and moved them with me probably twenty-five times. I’m currently restoring a pair of early-‘70s Fis

I can’t say enough about this place! I’ve purchased McIntosh MC2105, MC2255 and a C2300 from them. These are outstanding individuals who sell outstanding products. Derek and the rest of the staff are extremely knowledgeable. If you explain to Derek the sound profile you like, he’ll point you in the correct direction. Absolutely amazed that Derek took the time to help me let alone the amount of time he spent assisting me on putting together an amazing system for my cd, digital media and vinyl collection. This store is absolutely mind blowing! The service is absolutely above none I’ve ever seen from an audio store. These places are far and few between these days. The selection of McIntosh gear is amazing. They have a plethora of other high end speakers, amplifiers, pre amplifiers, turntables, cd players, tube pre amps and amplifiers and so on. Why would you even consider going anywhere else to buy high quality stuff? If you live within five hours drive you’ve got to make the trip. I live 35 minutes away and have been in the area for over 24 years not knowing they exist. If I didn’t travel so much I’d be there every week! A place you’ll never forget and always return to.

I had my MA6100 repaired recently. My father and I drove out to pick it up and they gave us a tour of the McIntosh factory. They have a great store with really cool stuff to see and hear. Super great people. I highly recommend Audio Classics.

Audio Classics is a first class organization. Great products and selection with excellent prices and amazing service. I live on Long Island, an hour outside of New York City where there is a wide variety of audio stores to go to. It is well worth the four hour trip for me to go to Vestal NY to deal with audio classics and their staff. They helped me make great decisions and get the system I dreamed of my entire life. I dealt exclusively with Ryan Fitzpatrick on recommendation from my brother. He is extremely knowledgeable, honest and incredibly helpful. I had an issue with one of my amps. I emailed him at 11:30pm. By 7 AM the following morning he responded and got me up and running once again. To further show how committed they are to quality customer service, Ryan was away on vacation with his family when he responded. You could not possibly find a better place to purchase hi-fi equipment. 5-stars across the board for Audio Classics.
